because the eyes are fixated
fixated on a painting
one mysterious piece it is
so exquisite that it draws me in
yet restricts thy
I indulge in it
Tried to ignore then took another glance
Confuses the mental that I'm not able to grasp it so sudden
Looked away, paused to give the brain time to think but my eyes don't blink
Frustrating how it has my mind restrained
Trying to focus,to gather what the artist is/was saying
It feel as if it doesn't want me to understand
Atleast not comprehend so simply
This isn't the norm.. Not me!
I retrace the portrait
Making it my focal point again
Through patience examined it a little deeper
Slowly it becomes visible enough to interpret
Not fully clear but manageable
At this point the mind feels slightly overworked
However pleased to have some progression....
w/ time I was now able to elaborate on this thing that once kept me @ a stand still
To fall back and observe the beauty it appealed
Left me curious!
To how the curiosity ate at me
How it intrigued, fueled me to want more
This artist making me inquire, desire, admire
The mystery this unique piece brought
Thinking back how the eyes & mind fought
wanting to dismiss b/c of its difficult and difference, too unexpected!
Decided
Step outside (my) box and explore what thy Painter managed
